On January 11. 2022, Chloé Le Brun defended her doctoral thesis in sociology “Individual and collective struggles and claims of winegrowers and challenges to gender relations in viticulture”, from the Toulouse Univ. Her research has focused on the feminization of viticulture professions and in particular 100% female movements. She notes that:
“The social recruitment of women farmers has been expanding for several decades. More and more women from agricultural backgrounds are settling on wine estates, taking over family estates or settling outside the family. They present a great diversity of profiles, life trajectories and conditions of access to the profession. »
